A human chain was held in Joypurhat demanding cancellation of transfer order of Dr. Swapan Kumar Biswas, an ally of Sheikh Hasina and Awami Fascism, as Civil Surgeon and withdrawal and reinstatement of Dr. Ruhul Amin’s OSD order.
The human chain was held in front of the Joypurhat Civil Surgeon’s office on Wednesday (05 March) afternoon under various banners including the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the general public.
Speakers at the time included Hasibul Haque Sanjid, convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Joypurhat District Committee, organizer Saif Hasan Rafi, orthopedic surgeon of Joypurhat General Hospital Dr. Sohel Rana, nursing student Yasir Arafat, and ordinary citizen Imran Hossain.
The speakers in the human chain said, “We do not accept this illegal order. Dr. Swapan Kumar Biswas is a murderer, a dictator, an accomplice of Sheikh Hasina and Awami fascism. We will not let him sit here. Even then, if anyone makes any attempt, there will be strict agitation and resistance. Therefore, we demand that the order of transferring him to the post of Civil Surgeon in Joypurhat be immediately canceled and Dr. Ruhul Amin’s OSD order be withdrawn and reinstated.”
