Since its inception, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been able to gain the trust of the general public by recovering drugs, illegal weapons, ammunition, arresting accused in sensational murder/rape cases, extortionists, terrorists and other criminals. Under the auspicious guidance of the Director General, RAB Forces, RAB-10 has been conducting regular patrols, increasing intelligence surveillance and setting up check posts to maintain law and order in the country.
In continuation of this, on March 01, 2025, at approximately 04:10 midnight, a patrol team of RAB-10 set up a check post and searched the Postogola Shmashanghat Road area of ​​the capital while carrying drugs in a private car and arrested 03 drug dealers along with 55.2 (fifty-five point two) kg of marijuana worth approximately 16,56,000/- (sixteen lakh fifty-six thousand) taka. The names of the arrested drug dealers are 1. Md. Kamrul Hasan (31), father- Abul Kausar, Sang- Gendaria Fire Service, Thana- Gendaria, DMP, Dhaka, 2. Md. Faisal Ahmed (37), father- Farhad Molla, Sang- Ramakrishnadi, Thana- Sirajdikhan, District- Munshiganj, A/P- Shahin’s house tenant, Gendaria, Thana- Shyampur, DMP, Dhaka and It is known that the arrested persons are professional drug dealers. They had been illegally collecting marijuana and other drugs from various border areas of the country for some time and supplying them to various places in the country including the capital’s Postogola in the seized private cars.
A drug case has been registered against the arrested persons and they have been handed over to the concerned police station.
