Run for Health, Run for Unity Let the race be a health and unity race. At a Galance of Bijoynagar10K Season 1 was held for the first time in Bijoynagar. 200 runners, including men, women and children, participated in the competition.
Organized by the Bijoynagar Runners Community, this marathon started at 6 am on Friday from the upazila ground.
187 men, 7 women and 8 children participated in three categories of 10 km, 5 km and 2 km. 25 support volunteers were engaged to support them in this race. Prizes were distributed among the competitors at 7:50 am.
The chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony of the event was Dr. AK Azad, Associate Professor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital.
The special guest was Md. Emdadul Haque Sail, Assistant Managing Director (AMD) of Sonali Life Insurance Company Limited, the title sponsor of the event.
Brahmanbaria Runners Community Founder and Admin Oli Ahad Ratan served as the Race Director.
The overall supervision of the event was provided by Bijoynagar Runners Community Founder Admin Md. Ziaur Rahman, Admin- Farid Uddin Mia, Md. Nazrul Islam, and a group of volunteers led by Bishu Chandra Dev.
