BSTI takes a strict stance on safe food during Ramadan -Director General BSTI

Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institute (BSTI) Director General (Grade-1) SM Ferdous Alam said that BSTI will conduct a special anti-adulteration campaign across the country to prevent adulteration and control the quality of daily necessities during the holy month of Ramadan. BSTI is taking a strict stand so that the people can procure quality and safe food products at fair prices.
He made these remarks at a meeting with respected businessmen of the division on the occasion of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan at the conference room of BSTI’s divisional office in Sylhet on Thursday, February 27.
Special guest’s speech at the exchange of views meeting
Sylhet Divisional Commissioner Khan Md. Reza-un-Nabi told industrial entrepreneurs and businessmen that those who adulterate food, tamper with weights, and sell substandard products should be identified as enemies.
Jamil Chowdhury, President of the Consumer Association of Bangladesh (CAB), was the special guest.
The welcome speech was delivered by Deputy Director (Metrology) and Office Head of BSTI’s Divisional Office, Md. Mazaharul Haque.
