Businessmen hold exchange meeting with administration in Goalanda

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, a special exchange meeting was held with market traders at the initiative of the Goalanda Upazila administration of Rajbari to keep the prices of essential commodities stable, control the market and maintain the law and order situation normal.
The meeting was held at Goalanda Fish Market on Thursday (February 27) at 11 am. Businessmen, civil servants and politicians participated in the meeting.
Goalanda Upazila Executive Officer Md. Nahidur Rahman presided over the meeting, which was attended by Goalandaghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Rakibul Islam, Goalanda Municipality Engineer Ferdous Alam Khan, Goalanda Upazila BNP former General Secretary Shahidul Islam Bablu, Goalanda Bazar Business Council President Siddiq Mia, Vice President Ziaul Haque Bablu, General Secretary Khokon Sheikh, Goalanda Press Club Member Secretary Shahidul Islam and business leaders. Yunus Hossain Biplob, Market Inspector of Goalanda Municipality, moderated the program.
Speakers at the meeting said that traders should be vigilant to control the prices of essential commodities in the market during the month of Ramadan. Strict action will be taken against unscrupulous traders.
The Upazila Executive Officer said that regular market monitoring will be carried out to keep the prices of essential goods stable for the convenience of the public during the holy month of Ramadan and to protect the interests of consumers.
The businessmen present at the meeting assured the administration of their full cooperation.
