The day-long annual sports, cultural programs, prize distribution, inter-school picnic, and reception ceremony for outgoing teachers and meritorious students 2025 was held at Laksam, Comilla on Tuesday (February 25) at the initiative of Khila Public Enterprise Girls High School and College.
The event was presided over by Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder, head of the Interim Government’s Electoral Reform Commission and president of the said School and College Managing Committee, and was attended by Comilla Education Board Chairman Professor Md. Shamsul Islam as the chief guest.
Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder said, “You have to be ready to take the country forward. You, the children of today, are the future of the country in the future. Get ready to run the country and take the country forward.”
Comilla Education Board Chairman Professor Md. Shamsul Islam said, “I was working at Laksam Nawab Faizunnesa Government College. I have many memories at Laksam. I feel very happy to be here today. I want you to be prepared and become leaders of the country in the future.”
Laksam Upazila Executive Officer Md. Kausar Hamid, Laksam Upazila Family Planning Officer Dr. Nazia Binte Alam, Laksam Police Station Officer-in-Charge Nazneen Sultana and Secondary Education Officer Md. Nasir Uddin were present as special guests at the event. Under the overall supervision of Principal Ranjit Chandra Das, members of the managing committee, local dignitaries, journalists, teachers and all students were present at the event.
