Towhid Hossain Sarkar : The Annual Sports and Prize Distribution Ceremony-2025 was celebrated at Abidpur High School and College. The ceremony was held in a festive atmosphere with the lively participation of the students and the presence of invited guests. At the beginning of the ceremony, the chief guest, Mr. Sahida Akhter, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Burichang, Comilla, was welcomed with flowers. Md. Abdul Mannan, Upazila Secondary Education Officer, Burichang, Comilla, was present as the special guest. The ceremony was presided over by the Honorable Principal of the college, Mr. Md. Badiul Alam. In his welcome speech, he emphasized the success, discipline and mindfulness of the students. At the beginning of the ceremony, Maulana Delwar Hossain recited from the Holy Quran. Then the ceremony was formally inaugurated by the performance of the national anthem. The students’ charming performances included costumes, dramas and songs. These cultural programs were led by Sanjida Akhter and her team. The program was addressed by the respected teachers of the college, among them were – Mr. Nilufar Yasmin, Assistant Professor Mr. Abdul Hafez, Assistant Professor Mr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Assistant Headmaster In addition, social worker Mr. Md. Monirul Islam and student advocate Mr. Md. Monirul Islam were present and inspired the students. Special Honors Mr. Md. Abul Kalam Bhuiyan was given a special honor as a crest and award for his continuous duty for the last two years. Conduction and Closing The program was skillfully conducted by the President of the College Teachers’ Association, Mr. Professor Md. Rafiqul Islam and Mr. Delwar Hossain, Assistant Teacher, Abidpur High School and College. The program concluded with the presentation of prizes to the winners of the cultural and sports competitions.
