Minor children will have to perform ablution to take Tarique Rahman’s name. Whatever minor children say about Tarique Rahman, the people of this country will not accept it.
BNP Chairman Barkat Ullah Bulu made these remarks in the opening speech of the Comilla Metropolitan BNP biannual conference on Tuesday (February 25) afternoon.
He also said that Begum Khaleda Zia has provided free books and education to girls, and that due to Khaleda Zia’s education policies, women’s education and culture in the country have improved greatly.
We are hearing that some of our leaders show nepotism towards the Awami League, they say that the Awami League leaders have a lot of money and they should be included in the party, we will say that this is not an opportunity, they have a lot of money and our leaders and activists will have to control their greed and stay away from them, after 5 years we will think whether they can be included in the party or not. Our leaders and activists have been the victims of attacks and cases, they should be given priority first.
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman was virtually present at the conference as the chief guest.
Besides, special guests Monirul Haque Chowdhury, Advisor to the Chairperson, and Haji Aminur Rashid Yasin, Secretary of Relief and Rehabilitation Affairs of the Central BNP, Comilla Divisional Organizing Secretary Principal Selim Bhuiyan, and Mostaq Mia were present at the conference.
Metropolitan BNP President Utbatul Bari Abu presided over the conference. Metropolitan BNP General Secretary Yusuf Molla Tipu moderated the conference.
