Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station has arrested 5 members of an inter-country gang of robbers while they were preparing for a robbery in Lalmonirhat. On Sunday night, around 4 am, based on a secret tip-off, the police conducted a raid on a residential hotel in the city’s Mission More area and arrested the 5 people and took them into police custody.
Later, a case was filed against them and they were sent to jail through the court on Monday afternoon. Meanwhile, there are 7 theft and robbery cases against the arrested accused in different districts of the country.
The arrested are: Abdul Hamid Khan (38), son of Azgar Ali Khan, of Harram Chaparhat area of ​​Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat, deceased of Keraniganj South Police Station of Dhaka. Liton (45) son of Shahid Paik, Aynal Haque (38) son of Budai Dewan of the Baligaon area of ​​​​Tongibari police station in Munshiganj district, deceased. Montu Mia son of Nayan Sarkar Gopal (38) of the Khalapara area of ​​​​Louhjang police station in Munshiganj district and deceased. Ansar Ali son of Amir Hossain (48) of the Ruitpur area of ​​​​Dhaka Keraniganj police station.
Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station OC (Investigation) Badal Kumar Mandal said that the arrested people were gathering and preparing for a robbery. At that time, a chapati, five thick ropes, a chain, two scissors, a knife, a towel used in the robbery were recovered from them. There are 7 theft and robbery cases against them all over Bangladesh.
