At the end of the season, a flood of tourists has descended on the beach town of Cox’s Bazar. Thirsty travelers are enjoying the sea bathing in the sand dunes and salt water. Due to the rough sea, the life guard organization has strengthened safety in the sea bathing.Only a few days are left for the tourist season to end. The month of Ramadan is starting in a few days. So, at the end of the season, a flood of tourists has descended on the beach town of Cox’s Bazar.With the weekend holiday of February 21, people and people on the beach. Nature lovers are enjoying the salt water amidst the intense heat. They are taking pictures on Z-skis or horseback and keeping them as memories. The beach has turned into a city of festivals.
Imtiaz Ahmed, a tourist who came to Sugandha Point, said, “I took a long bus ride from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar. Despite being so tired, I rushed to see the sea without taking a hotel rest. As soon as the salty water of the sea hit my skin, all the fatigue disappeared.” Tahmina Nasrin, who was traveling to the same point, said, “I am very happy. I will stay in Cox’s Bazar for the next two days. I will spend my time here enjoying the sea, mountains and nature.” Ibrahim Azad, who came from Sylhet, said, “It is the first time I have seen the sea with my three-year-old daughter Ruhi. It feels very good. Everything feels good when I come to Cox’s Bazar. It is a nice place.” Another tourist, Touhid Alam, said, “I came to Cox’s Bazar when I was in class five. Then everything was chaotic, but now everything seems very tidy. Many tourists are staying in the sand dunes with their bags and luggage, many are on the beach. Some are passing the time by walking on the road.” However, some have complained about the excessive rent charged for hotels, motels and vehicles. Mobarak Hossain, a tourist from Dhaka, said, “I did not expect so many people to be in Cox’s Bazar. It was very difficult to get a hotel, since I had not booked a hotel in advance. However, the rent seemed a bit high, I have rented 40,000 taka for 3 days for 3 rooms in an apartment.” Sumaiya Yasmin, a tourist from Narayanganj, said, “I came to Cox’s Bazar with 14 family members. But since I could not get a room in the hotel, I went to the sand dunes on the beach. There were no boxes in the lockers either. Due to which I am happy to leave my bags and luggage on the sand dunes. If I do not get a room, I will wander around Cox’s Bazar until the evening, then return to Narayanganj.” With the end of the winter mood, the intensity of the waves in the sea has increased. Therefore, the life guard organization has increased surveillance on tourists bathing in the sea. Joynal Abedin Bhutto, a senior life guard worker at Sea Safe Life Guard Organization, said, “The winter season is over. Just as the temperature has increased now, the heat of the sea waves has also increased.” At the same time, the number of tourists going to the sea has also increased. However, 3-level activities are underway to ensure the safety of tourists while bathing in the sea. All the star-class hotels on the beach are full of tourists. Therefore, the tourist police have strengthened security at the beach, hotel-motel zones and tourist spots.
