Police and joint forces have arrested 15 Awami League leaders and activists in the last 24 hours in separate operations in Comilla under Operation Devil Hunt. The police have arrested 66 leaders and activists, including 15, on the 7th day.
Comilla Additional Superintendent of Police (Finance and Administration) Arafatul Islam confirmed the matter on Sunday (February 16) morning. They were arrested in a raid conducted in various parts of the district on Sunday.
It is learned that the joint forces have been conducting operations in Comilla district since the announcement of ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Comilla Additional Superintendent of Police (Finance and Administration) Arafatul Islam said, “To curb crime and maintain normalcy in the situation, 15 people have been arrested in Comilla in the last 24 hours as part of Operation Devil Hunt, as has been done across the country. In addition, a total of 66 people, including 15 people, were arrested in the 7th day of the operation. The operation will continue to arrest the criminals
