Abdul Motaleb Babul: A view exchange meeting of the Vice Chancellor was held with the class representatives (CR) of Noakhali University of Science and Technology (Novikrabhi), various clubs, organizations and coordinators of anti-discrimination movement. The meeting was held yesterday at the Bir Shrestha Shahid Mohammad Ruhul Amin Auditorium of the university on various academic issues of the university administration. It was presided over by Novikrabhi Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Ismail. During the exchange of views, Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Ismail said, we had a meeting three months ago. In continuation of that, I am happy to sit with CR, club members and coordinators of anti-discrimination movement today. Today we will listen to the problems you have and try to solve them. He said, “I pray for the souls of those who were martyred in the 24th movement and wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured. We are currently working to protect the mental health of students. For this, we have already provided first aid boxes in the student residence halls and are working to protect their mental health. We are trying to provide some new manpower there. On the other hand, we give utmost importance to the safety of students. Those who were injured in the movement have been given one lakh 20 thousand taka and Faiz’s family has already been given five lakh taka. I believe that justice will be established in the university through a proper investigation into Faiz’s incident and bringing the culprits to justice. We have also adopted a zero tolerance policy in the case of drugs and gambling. We hope that the work on the third academic building can be started by May-June this year. At the same time, we have taken the initiative to construct a few more halls to solve the housing problem of students. We will do whatever is necessary to make the campus a center of excellence.” In addition, through the Hit Project, we want to take the university to a better place in education and research. We also want to take the university to a better position in terms of Yanking. At this time, in response to various questions from the students, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Ismail said, we have already launched the Animal Research Center for research. We have laid emphasis on international collaboration. We are working on collaboration with renowned universities of the world. Through which global communication between teachers and students will increase. We have arranged for their training to ensure proper service from the officials and employees. We are trying to develop the talent of the students through the Meet the Vice Chancellor program. At this time, he also said, we will launch digital attendance very soon, so that the administrative work of the university is conducted smoothly in the future. At the same time, it will be ensured that students get seats 100% transparently on the basis of merit in the future. In addition, 10 percent of the seats will be allocated for new students from the next academic year. We are working to enhance the beauty of the university. So that visitors from outside can enjoy the beauty when they come to the campus. A sanctuary has been built for migratory birds. We are also working to build a green campus and a clean campus. We will take an effective step to resolve the electricity problem and we have taken a step to upgrade the university road to four lanes. Thank you all.
