Md. Zillur Rahman Jewel, Galachipa, (Patuakhali):
A female drug dealer named Mosa Jahanara Begum, wife of the deceased Helal Pyada, was arrested from inside the house of Helal Pyada in Purba Majhagram area of ward number 4 of Chiknikandi union of Galachipa upazila of Patuakhali with 1,592 packets of yaba and 21,000 taka of yaba sold. The incident took place on Monday, February 11 at around 9 pm.
According to police sources, the operation was conducted based on secret information on the instructions of Patuakhali District Police Superintendent Md. Anwar Zahid.
The operation was conducted by Galachipa Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Ashadur Rahman, SI Bellal, SI Tushar and other accompanying forces.
OC (Investigation) Md. Joynal Abedin presented detailed information to journalists at Galachipa Police Station on Tuesday, February 12, at around 11 am.
Later, a case was filed against the arrested drug dealer Jahanara Begum under Section 10(a)/40 of Section 36(1) of the Narcotics Control Act of 2018 and she was sent to court.
