Auspicious opening of Sarthi Mobile Library in Charfassion

“Sarathi Mobile Library Program” was officially inaugurated by Charfassion Kishore Network of Dwip District Bhola to ensure enjoyable and educational reading opportunities for all.

Upazila executive officer Rasna Sharmin Mithi inaugurated the program at 11 o’clock on Monday (February 10) at the upazila parishad square with a colorful event.

At the time, he said, “Sarthi mobile library will play an important role in developing the habit of learning among students. This initiative to deliver books to remote areas is really commendable.”

Kishore Network regional team leader Sanjidul Islam, brave freedom fighter Mojibal Haque, prominent social worker Aktarul Alam Samu, Bhola district assistant director of Coast Foundation Rashida Begum, Helal Uddin, youth volunteers and mass media workers of Kishore Network and many others were present.

In the event, the guests discussed the future plans and prospects of Sarathi Mobile Library.

Sarathi Mobile Library is basically a voluntary initiative, through which the students of underprivileged and remote areas will be given the opportunity to read books.  Organizers said, “Our initiative is for students of general schools, colleges, madrasas, temples, children and teenagers, youth community, parents, guardians – people from all walks of life who are interested in reading books but are deprived of the joy of reading books due to non-availability of books.

Spontaneous participation and enthusiasm of the students can be seen in the opening ceremony. They said, “The easy availability of books will help to increase their range of joy and knowledge. Entrepreneurs are optimistic that this initiative will make a significant contribution in building a literate, culturally aware, modern, progressive and humane society in the future.
