A meeting of the District Law and Order Committee was held in Cox’s Bazar on the initiative of the district administration. The meeting was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Sunday morning. It was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin. In his speech, the Deputy Commissioner said that necessary steps will be taken, including operating a mobile court, to maintain the law and order situation in the district and normalize the market prices of daily necessities before the holy month of Ramadan. He also said that strict action will be taken against those who help Rohingyas come out of the camps and check posts will be increased. The meeting, chaired by Additional District Magistrate Imran Hossain Sajeeb, was attended by Police Superintendent Muhammad Rahmat Ullah, Civil Surgeon Dr. Asif Ahmed Howlader, former Whip BNP District President Shahjahan Chowdhury, journalist Mahbubur Rahman, political leaders and representatives of the student movement.
