Under the initiative of the Late Abu Taher Smriti Foundation of Barura Amratoli, Comilla, materials have been distributed for the cleaning of 140 mosques in various villages of Shilmuri North and Shilmuri South Unions.
On Saturday, February 8 at 2:00 PM, the foundation’s founding chairman and young social worker Md. Abu Sayem presided over the event at the Amratoli C. Ali High School auditorium, where prominent businessman and BNP leader Md. Mofizul Islam of Barura Bazar was present as a guest. National Bank Barura branch manager Mazharul Islam Liton, foundation advisor Dr. Md. Aman Ullah, Amratoli C. Ali High School donor member Md. Shah Alam Babul spoke at the event. At this time, headmaster of Amratoli Government Primary School Md. Soleman Mia spoke, and 140 people were given Tk 1,000 each for cleaning the mosques, along with equipment for the imams and khatibs from different areas.
It is worth noting that the Late Abu Taher Memorial Foundation is working for the welfare of the helpless people of the society, providing assistance with food and clothing in any disaster situation, distributing educational materials, distributing uniforms, distributing tree saplings, and providing carpet cleaning materials at various times for the convenience of mosque worshippers. The foundation’s chairman and young social worker Md. Abu Sayem is providing overall assistance.
