The Bijoynagar Citizen Forum organized the third Pitha Festival at Begum Mariam Memorial Model School in Bijoynagar, Brahmanbaria.
Various private schools and social organizations participated in the festival, which lasted from the morning to the afternoon on Saturday, February 8, in a joyful atmosphere. The participants displayed various types of pitha with decorations in their stalls.
Sunflower Kindergarten, Swajan Sambal Bijoynagar Upazila Branch, Budhanti Model School, Begum Mariam Memorial Model School, Bijoynagar Upazila Probashi Kalyan Sangathan and several other stalls participated in the festival. Along with the Pitha Festival, a pleasant cultural program was also organized.
The Pitha Festival 2025, with the theme ‘Him Him Winter Wind, Warmth Spreads by the Fragrance of Pitha Pul’, was jointly hosted by Bijoynagar Upazila Citizens Forum General Secretary SM Kamrul Hasan Shanto and Organizing Secretary Md. Azizul Islam Aslam. Vice President of the organization Md. Shah Alam delivered the welcome speech.
Assistant Professor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Dr. AK Azad was the chief guest.

Qutab ul Alam, Bijoynagar Upazila Secondary Teachers Association President Abu Yusuf, Primary School Assistant Teachers Association President ABM Morshed Kamal, Bijoynagar Upazila Kindergarten Association Advisor Md. Mosleh Uddin Bhuiyan, Ichapura Union BNP President Md. Aminul Islam, Ichapura Union Jubo Dal President Nur Mohammad Arafat, Budhanti Union Jubo Dal President Md. Kamal Mia, Bijoynagar Upazila Press Club Acting General Secretary Hira Ahmed Zakir, Bijoynagar Upazila Branch Vice President Maulana Sirajul Islam, Kamrul Alam Sohel, General Secretary Mohiuddin Rubel, Publicity Secretary Alamgir Hossain, Headmaster of Begum Mariam Memorial Model School Md. Iqbal Hossain, along with students, teachers and guardians of various educational institutions were present. The invited guests visited the stalls, saw the pitha and enjoyed the program.
The students performed group and solo dances, patriotic songs, recitations, and acting.
Budhanti Model School came first in the pitha festival, Begum Mariam Memorial Model School came second, and Bijoynagar Upazila Expatriates Welfare Organization came third. Later, each participating stall was given a souvenir and prizes were distributed among the winners. The guests thanked the organizers and said that such programs should be organized again and again.
