The Upazila administration has organized a mini marathon in Laksam in a festive atmosphere on the occasion of the youth festival.
The mini marathon race started from the upazila premises at 8 am on Friday (February 7) and ended at the Upazila Parishad premises again.
Men and women of different ages participated in the 5-kilometer marathon in a festive arrangement. The aim of the mini marathon was to interest the young generation in healthy physical exercise and celebrate the energy and enthusiasm of youth.
During the competition, about 40 volunteers, medical teams and police officers, as well as leaders of the Laksam City Runner Group, worked along the entire route to ensure their necessary services.
At the end of the marathon, Upazila Executive Officer Md. Kausar Hamid, Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Sifatun Nahar, Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Al-Amin, Laksam Thana Officer-in-Charge Nazneen Sultana, officials from various departments, journalists, student representatives, scout members and teachers were present.
This time, the guests of the marathon competition presented various prizes to the first, second, third and fourth place men and women in the 5 km race on behalf of the Upazila administration.
