A joyous procession was held in Barura Municipality by the Barura Upazila BNP and its affiliated organizations as former MP Zakaria Taher Sumon, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s (BNP) Labor Affairs Secretary, was elected as the convener of Comilla South District BNP.
On Sunday, February 2, after the approved committee signed by Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of the BNP Central Committee, was published, the leaders and activists took out this joyous procession. More than a thousand leaders and activists participated in this joyous procession.
Leaders and activists of the party’s affiliated organizations hoisted banners and festoons at various points in the market, greeting and congratulating BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

In addition to the municipal Sadar Bazar, leaders and activists of BNP affiliate organizations took out joyous processions in various village-based markets including Amratoli Bazar, Khoshbas Bazar, Jhalom Bazar, Adda Bazar, Lakshmipur Bazar, Payalgachha Bazar, and Bataichhari Bazar in Barura.
