A discussion meeting on the birth and death registration program was held on February 2 at the Laksam Municipality Auditorium on the occasion of the Birth and Death Registration Week.
At the discussion meeting, the Comilla Deputy Commissioner officially announced the inauguration of the Birth and Death Registration Week program simultaneously in all unions of Laksam including Laksam Municipality.
Laksam Upazila Executive Officer and Laksam Municipality Administrator Md. Kausar Hamid presided over the discussion meeting, and Comilla Deputy Commissioner Md. Amirul Kaysar spoke as the chief guest. Local Government Comilla Deputy Director S.M. Golam Kibria spoke as the special guest.
Present were BNP leader Abdur Rahman Badal, Laksam Municipality Executive Engineer Md. Zakir Hossain, Chief Accounting Officer Md. Akter Hossain, Laksam Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Nazia Binte Alam, Laksam Police Station Officer-in-Charge Nazneen Sultana, Laksam Municipal Council Health Officer Dr. Md. Al Imran, Laksam Upazila Youth Development Officer Md. Delwar Hossain, Laksam Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sifatun Nahar, Laksam Municipality Administrative Officer Md. Abul Khair, Laksam Pilot Girls High School Acting Headmaster Rasraj and officials of the Islamic Foundation. In addition, all the Union Parishad secretaries were actively involved in the discussion meeting.
