BNP National Executive Committee Vice Chairman and former five-time MP Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad has said that one advisor should visit the hospital every day to check on the condition of students injured in the anti-discrimination movement.
He made these comments on Monday morning, January 20, when he visited the injured in the student movement against discrimination at the National Orthopedic Hospital and Rehabilitation Institute (Pangu Hospital) and the National Eye Hospital.
He said, “I am speechless after coming here. How cruelly the tyrannical dictator Sheikh Hasina’s government has tortured and crippled young boys. The injured are still not getting full treatment. They must be provided with proper treatment immediately.”
Trusting the interim government, Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad said, “The current interim government is very sincere. I would request that one advisor visit the hospital every day before going to the office. This will encourage and encourage the injured and the hospital doctors and medical personnel will be obliged to provide proper treatment.”
Former Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad visited the injured student crowd from different parts of the country who had come to protest against discrimination over holy Zamzam water, dates and fruits.
The injured regained their morale after meeting the former minister. They expressed their regrets to the leader. Sitting next to them, Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad patted their heads and assured them of proper treatment and dignity.
Jamal Hossain, who lost both eyes in a police firing, said, “I have heard a lot about you. I really wanted to see you. But today I met you at a time when I was blinded by a police firing.”
Hillol, the Kushtia coordinator of the anti-discrimination movement, said while being treated at the hospital, “I consider 5 leaders of the country as idols. Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad is one of them. Sir, we are grateful to you for coming. We request you not to discriminate against us.”
The injured student in the anti-discrimination movement said, “Sir, you yourself are oppressed like us. You could not come to the country for 13 long years. The Awami League government has sentenced you in a false case. We are blessed that you came. But those who are advisors in our movement today. They do not come to see us. Rather, they are creating discrimination through categories.”
It is worth mentioning that former minister and 5-time MP Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad provided 50,000 in the first phase to 7 families of Muradnagar who were martyred in the anti-discrimination movement and 10,000 in the second phase and built new houses for 3 families.
