For the first time, the National Hifzul Quran Competition 2025 was held in Bancharampur, Brahmanbaria in a festive atmosphere. Today, Saturday, January 18, the National Quran Competition was held at the initiative of the Imamnagar Jamia Islamia Qawmi Madrasa of Darikandi Union, Bancharampur Upazila. The winners were awarded cash prizes, crests and certificates among the participants.
More than 1200 Hafiz, Maulana, Mufti and Madrasa students from different districts and upazila levels of the country participated in this competition based on zones. This competition was held in three groups. In addition, prizes were given at the upazila and district levels. The venue was bustling with the procession of Hafiz, Maulana, Mufti, Madrasa students and religious devotees.
The event was presided over by the founding president of the madrasa, prominent social worker and philanthropist Abdus Sattar, and the chief guest was Ustazul Huffaz Shaykh Qari Abdul Haq, president of Huffazul Quran Foundation Bangladesh. The special guest was Shaykh Qari Nazmul Hasan. About 5,000 religious devotees were present at the venue to watch this holy Quran competition.
