A workshop titled “Future Bangladesh through the Thoughts of Youth” was held in Goalando Upazila of Rajbari.
The workshop, organized by the Goalanda Upazila administration on Tuesday (January 15) at 11 am, was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Md. Nahidur Rahman at the Upazila Auditorium.
The workshop was addressed by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Asaduzzaman, Goalanda Ghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Rakibul Islam, Goalanda Rabeya Idris Women’s College Principal Kader Sheikh, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Jayanta Das, Engineering Officer Md. Zakir Hossain, Upazila Youth Development Officer Md. Fazlul Haque, Goalanda Government Kamrul Islam College Acting Principal Shamsunnahar Siddika Jolly, former principal K. Mohit Hira, Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council leader Nirmal Kumar Chakraborty, Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Coordinator Shahriar Sajib, etc.
The speakers at the workshop said that today’s youth are the future of tomorrow. They will change this world. Everyone will have to work from their own position to build a Bangladesh free of discrimination. Along with this, the workshop declared the determination to build a beautiful country with the united efforts of everyone.
After this workshop, a debate competition was organized. Goalanda Shaheed Smriti Government Girls’ High School 9 won first place among the competitors, while Daulatdia Model High School won second place.
The workshop was attended by students, teachers, representatives of civil society, principals of various schools, and journalists from print and electronic media.
