The annual sports and cultural week of Jalam High School College has been inaugurated in Barura, Cumilla.
Barura Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Nu Among Marma Mong declared the auspicious inauguration of the annual Sports and Cultural Week at Jhalom High School and College grounds on Monday, January 13.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Jalam High School and College Principal Mohammad Emdadul Haque Palash. Present at the event were guardian representatives Md. Idris Mia, Md. Abul Khair, Md. Zahirul Islam, educationist Md. Imran Hossain, assistant professors Md. Lal Mia, Abul Bashar, Sarker Shiuli Akhter, Md. Zahirul Islam, Mohammad Masud Majumder, Mohammad Shafiullah, Mohammad Shahjalal, Dilip Chakraborty, Madhavi Sutradhar, Nasrin Sultana, Abdus Sattar, Abdus Samad, Omar Hanif, Abdul Motaleb, Md. Mahbub Alam, assistant headmaster Forkan Hossain Majumder, assistant teachers Rakhal Chandra Debnath, Zinat Rehana, Ferdousi Begum, Abdus Salam, Master Md. Nurul Haque, Kamal Hossain, and others.
At the end, the chief guest, Barura Upazila Executive Officer Nu Among Marma Mong, officially declared the annual sports and cultural week open by releasing balloons.
