Patuakhali District Correspondent::- In the Hat Bazaar of Chhota Bighai Office in Sadar Upazila of the district, miscreants attacked six shops in the dark of night, and the signs of anger were visible with weapons standing on the shutters of each shop.
Overall, the victim businessman Kamal Gazi Parvez said, “At around 2 am, the miscreants broke into my shop and looted 85,000 taka in cash and threw various medicines in the shop on the road. The same picture was seen in six other shops in the market.
The six shop owners, Gazi Kamal, Kalam Khan, Jahangir Hossain Howlader, Mizanur Howlader, Jahangir Pyada, Mosharraf Mridha, said that these six shop owners were selectively looted because they were workers of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). The terrorist forces of the Awami League looted our shops in the dark of night and looted the shop of the joint general secretary of our Chhota Bighai Union BNP. It is proven that this was done only for political gain. We want to see the culprits brought to justice through a proper investigation.
At this time, when the police went to the scene and spoke to the consumers, the office’s Hat Bazar Committee closed all their shops during the night, focusing on the looting of six shops in the market.
Currently, the police are on the ground and investigating the entire matter, trying to identify the alleged culprits.
