A parent gathering was held as part of a local-level advocacy campaign initiated by the Daulatdia KKS Pradeep Project in Goalanda Upazila of Rajbari.
The rally was held on the grounds of Daulatdia KKS Shishu Government Primary School. Rajbari Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah was present as the chief guest at the rally organized under the chairmanship of freedom fighter Fakir Abdul Jabbar, Executive Director of the Workers’ Welfare Organization (KKS).
In his speech as the chief guest, the Deputy Commissioner said, “The education of students from the eastern neighborhood of KKS School will not stop. We have to play a more active role. To launch the Safe the Children project, a three-month extension has been made by talking to NGO representatives and secretaries. In the meantime, we are trying to keep it going by talking to everyone else. In this regard, he called on journalists to play an important role in this regard through their writings. Education is the backbone of the nation. Awareness and cooperation of parents is very important in improving the quality of education and shaping the future of children. We all have to work together so that every child gets quality education.”
ADC Education and Technology Tabiul Hasan, District Primary Education Officer Tabibur Rahman, Goalanda Upazila Executive Officer Md. Nahidur Rahman, and Goalanda Ghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Rakibul Islam were present as special guests.
Also present at the rally were Goalanda Upazila Primary Education Officer Md. Kabir Hossain, Assistant Education Officer Md. Azizul Haque, Safe the Children Rajbari District Coordinator Saiful Islam, KKS Managing Director Fakir Zahid, and others.
Speakers at this gathering called on parents to play a more active role in promoting education.
