IU Correspondent : The book ‘Nuo Gori Fagun Ezher’ has been included in the curriculum of the Bengali Department as a part of the ‘Ethnic Groups of Language and Literature’ course at the Islamic University of Kushtia.

The book has been included in the list of books to follow in the Ethnic Groups of Language and Literature course of the Bengali department since March, 2023. Dr. Rezaul, a Professor of the Bengali Department, confirmed this to the author.

The writer McLain Chakma completed his post-graduation in Pali Literature from Chittagong University. He lives in Rangamati.

He mainly focused this book on the life of ethnic groups; people in the hill are a lot of struggle. They have to survive through constant struggle. The people of the hills are far behind the mainstream population. In many cases, they are deprived of educational opportunities. Culture and literature are practiced by a handful. He hopes that if the government sponsors the rights, culture, and literature of the ethnic groups people, the people of the Chittagong Hill Tracts will move forward much further.
