Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, since time immemorial, our country has been a country of harmony. People of different religions live together. There is hardly such a country in the world. Those who have ruled such a country for the past 15 and a half years, have organised themselves instead of organised the country. Instead of handing over work to the people of the country, they have taken away the sustenance of the people of the country. The people were supported by the march of lakhs of unemployed. Government is responsible for this.
 He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the Jamaat road meeting held at Atharomile intersection of Dumuria upazila in Khulna on Thursday (December 26) morning. This rally was held on the initiative of Dumuria Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami.
 He said, they took away the pens from the hands of the students and handed them weapons. They have smuggled the money earned by the hard work of the people of the country abroad.
 Jamaat also said, many people ask if they will come again in the election? I say – those who committed mass murder, shot the chest of the people with weapons bought by the people of the country to stay in the mattress; They have the right to do politics? Even though the dictatorship has fled, they continue to conspire to destabilize this society, the country.
He said, we love this country, we want to build this country. We want to build a society and state where corrupt occupiers will not exist. In a society where our mothers and sisters can walk everywhere with dignity at home and outside. A society where youth will get jobs according to their merit. We will build that society hand in hand, God willing. We want to establish such a society in Bangladesh. People don’t have to cry at the door of the court to get justice. Rather, the court will take responsibility and give justice to people. I want to build that society. For this you have to be ready for greater sacrifices, sacrifices. Our struggle will continue until the liberation of the people is achieved in terms of equality, in terms of justice and until a country and nation is formed – Inshallah. He called upon everyone to stand by and support the righteous cause.
