Former President of Lalmonirhat Press Club, veteran journalist Md. Mofakhkharul Islam Majnu (62), a permanent resident of Saptana area of ​​Lalmonirhat district town, passed away at 4:30 pm on Thursday (November 28) at the National Neuroscience Institute Hospital in the country’s capital Dhaka due to brain hemorrhage (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun).
At the time of his death, he left behind his wife, 1 son, 1 daughter, relatives, friends, neighbors and countless admirers. His death has cast a shadow of grief over the area.
Various individuals/organizations have expressed their condolences on his death. They have expressed their condolences to his bereaved family members.  It is worth mentioning that Mofakhkharul Islam Majnu started his journalism career with the Daily Dabanol newspaper published from Rangpur in the eighties. After serving as the Lalmonirhat district representative of the Daily Dabanol for a long time, he worked for the Daily Patrika and the Daily Banglabazar Patrika published from Dhaka. His television journalism started with CSB TV. After that, he worked with great reputation on TV for a long time. He last worked for a daily newspaper published from Dhaka called the Daily Sabuj Bangla. Veteran journalist Mofakhkharul Islam Majnu served as the president of the Press Club Lalmonirhat for two consecutive terms. As a simple and simple-minded person, Mofakhkharul Islam Majnu will live forever among the people of Lalmonirhat.
