A ‘Whole School Approach’ program was organized at Rajapur Government Pilot Girls’ High School in Rajapur Upazila of Jhalakathi through health club awareness, sexual harassment prevention committee meeting and guardian meeting. On Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 10 am, Asma Sabnam, Assistant Project Manager Nari Paksha, was present as the chief guest in the assembly of 3 subjects held in the school hall. Retired Principal Muktijoddha Md. Shahjahan Mollah was the special guest.
This meeting was organized under the Women’s Rights Here, Now (R,H,R,N) project on the health protection of adolescents, health clubs and what mothers can do to prevent sexual harassment. Senior Project Officer Tahsin Rahman gave ideas on various aspects. The school’s head teacher Mosa Zohra Khatun presided over the meeting. At that time, senior teachers of the school Maulana Mizanur Rahman and Shahjahan Durrani, district representative of women’s wing Syed Hossain Ahmed Kamal, and more than a hundred guardian mothers of this school were present. In addition, after informing the members of the health club and distributing complaint boxes and materials to prevent sexual harassment, separate meetings were held with the committee.
