A Rukon conference of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Feni Sadar Upazila branch was held on Monday at Darul Islam Bhaban in the city. Sadar Ameer Maulana Naderuzzaman presided over the event, with Jamaat’s Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Comilla region team member Professor Liaquat Ali Bhuiyan as the chief guest. District Ameer and Central Majlish-e-Shura member Maulana Abdul Hannan, District Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Abu Yusuf were the special guests. Among others, District Jamaat Assistant Secretary Ed. Jamal Uddin, District Working Committee members Abu Yusuf and Engineer Fakhruddin, District President of Chhatra Shibir Imam Hossain, Nasdar Upazila Jamaat leader Maulana Harunur Rashid were present at the event.
In his speech as the chief guest, Professor Liaquat Ali Bhuiyan, inspired by the spirit of the August Revolution, called on everyone to unite regardless of party affiliation to build a Bangladesh free from misrule and mismanagement, free from discrimination, full of justice, youth and prosperity and humane.
He said, Jamaat has always acted responsibly in the interests of the country and the nation. But we are the most persecuted political party in this country. After independence, we were banned twice. Even then, we have always practiced clean politics.
District Ameer Maulana Abdul Hannan said, a just state must be established by creating a grave of discrimination and misrule. At the same time, all conspiracies of hegemony must be stopped. The people of the country have overthrown the August 5 dictatorship. Now, to fully liberate democracy and the people of the country, another revolution is needed on the basis of Islamic ideals, which will create the future of this nation.
