Providing financial support to families killed in anti-discrimination student movement in Borhanuddin

Financial assistance has been provided to the families of 2 martyrs killed in the anti-discrimination student movement in Borhanuddin, Bhola. M. Ibrahim Khalil, Assistant Attorney General and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, made the donation from his own personal funds. He is the son of Md. Yusuf Contactor of Ward No. 9 of Deula Union of Upazila.

On Saturday (November 16) morning, son of Sirajal Haque of Ward No. 3 of Sachara Union, Shaheed Sujan, son of Ward No. 3, paid Tk 5 lakh to the family of the deceased and laid a foundation stone for building a paved house. Earlier on Friday afternoon, he paid Tk 2 lakh to the family of Shaheed Sohail, son of Ah Haque, a resident of Deula Ward No. 3.

Lawyer ABM Ibrahim Khalil said, with my personal funding, an initiative has been taken to build a brick house for all martyr families of Borhanuddin Upazila who died in July-August. As a part of this, the house work of the family of Shaheed Sujan and Shaheed Sohail has been started at the initial stage and Tk 7 lakh has been paid in cash for the house work. All expenses will be paid till the house is completed.

Many civil society people including Municipal Chhatra Dal President Shakeel Matabbar, Union President Rakib Reza and Secretary Farid Zia were present.
