Police arrested a drug dealer with a large quantity of foreign liquor.
Shahedul Islam (27) was arrested with 115 bottles of foreign liquor from South Kashimpur of Sadar Upazila on Tuesday (November 12) night. He is the son of Ayakub of Dakshin Kashimpur area of ​​Panchgachia union of the same upazila.
Feni Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Maram Singh Tripura informed this information through a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
He also said in the press conference that the police came to know through secret information that there is a large quantity of drugs for sale in Ayakub Mia’s house in South Kashimpur area of ​​Panchgachia Union of Feni Sadar Upazila. On the basis of the news, the operation was conducted in that area. Sensing the presence of the police, the accused arrested a drug dealer named Md. Shahedul Islam (27) while fleeing. On questioning the accused, he said that there are 115 bottles of foreign liquor under the bed of his residence. The police recovered them and showed them to him. A case was registered against him under the Narcotics and Smuggling Act and he was sent to court.
