Keeping in view the motto “Demand for non-discriminatory workplace-time”, the public engineering day-2024 and the glorious 54th anniversary of the Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB) were celebrated in Dinajpur like the rest of the country.
On Saturday (9 November 2024) at 10 am, a colorful rally took place from the Dinajpur Institute office grounds at 10 am and went around various roads of the city and ended at the District Commissioner’s premises.
Engineer Md. Abdul Wadud Mondal, principal of Dinajpur Polytechnic Institute, spoke as the chief guest in the discussion meeting under the chairmanship of Engineer Md. Shahidul Islam, Acting President of IDEB District Branch, Engineer Md. Abdus Sattar Shah, Joint Convener of IDEB’s Central Committee, as special guest. General Secretary of IDEB Dinajpur District Branch Engineer Md. Abdul Awal delivered the welcome speech. Assistant Engineer of Dinajpur Road and Township Division Md. Shahanur Rashid conducted the program.
After the discussion meeting, the chief guest, Dinajpur Polytechnic Institute Principal Engineer Md. Abdul Wadud Mondal and other guests inaugurated the colorful rally by blowing balloons and festoons.

Mamunur Rashid, Sub-Divisional Engineer of Dinajpur Water Development Board Md. Siddikuzzaman Nayan, Former Sub-Divisional Engineer of Dinajpur Road and Public Path Directorate Md. Afzalul Haque etc. Also present on the occasion were IDEB’s invited guest Teacher Employees Union Dinajpur District Branch President Prof. Md. Manjurul Islam, ADBEB Councilor Engineer Md. Mozaffar Hossain, Hakimpur Municipality Assistant Engineer Md. Habibur Rahman and members of BAKACHAP, Dinajpur Polytechnic Institute, Uttaran Polytechnic Institute, SRA Polytechnic Institute, Again, apptouch, Teachers and students of DIST, Global, Anwara, and Ecoserve Polytechnic Institute, members of Dinajpur ICT Club, diploma engineers of various public and private departments working in Dinajpur participated. It should be noted that the Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB) was established on 8 November 1970.
