Selim Chowdhury Hera: A discussion meeting was held at Hotel Midway Conference Hall in Paltan on the occasion of the formation of the Central Executive Committee of Bangladesh Municipal Employees Federation. The meeting was chaired by Mr. AKM Nuruzzaman (Central Executive Committee of Ahabbayak Bangladesh Municipal Employees Federation). Sabera Sultana, Md. Noore Alam Manik, Md. Enamul Haque, Md. Nayan Mahmud, Md. Majedur Rahman Mukul, Md. Shahed, Md. Shafiqul Islam Shafiq, Mokhleshur Rahman Zillu etc. were present in the meeting. In the meeting AKM Nuruzzaman was formed as the president and Sabera Sultana as the general secretary of 19 (nineteen) members municipal executive committee. Others of the committee are: Senior Vice President- Md. Noore Alam Manik, Vice President- Majedur Rahman Mukul, Joint Secretary-Md. Enamul Haque, Joint Secretary- Shafiqul Islam, Organizing Secretary- Debbrat Ujjal, Joint Organizing Secretary- Md. Mokhlechur Rahman, Finance Secretary- Nadimul. Haque, Publicity Secretary- Md. Shahed, Women Affairs Secretary- Umm Zainab Akhtar The members of the executive committee are Md. Humayan Kabir and Md. Nayan Mahmud Md Noore Alam Manik, Md Enamul Haque, Md Nayan Mahmud spoke in the meeting. The meeting was moderated by Sabera Sultana. A 19-member executive committee was unanimously approved and all hoped that through this committee, the fair demands of the 330 municipal employees suffering discrimination would play an important role in getting salary allowances from the public treasury.
