Research Institute Gazipur Farm Machinery and Post Harvest Process “Seminar and Exhibition Fair on Agricultural Machinery Talent Search” organized by Engineering Department.
Habiprobi Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mo Enamulya inaugurated the exhibition fair held in front of the University Auditorium-1 on Monday (November 4-2024) at 10 am. At this time, the dean of the engineering faculty, Prof. Dr. Mofizul Islam, the proctor, Prof. Dr. Md. Shamsujjoha, Director of Student Counseling and Guidance Department Professor Dr. Md. Emdad Hossain, Faculty of Engineering and other officials. Bari Root Vegetable Washing Machine, Bari Grain Thresher, Bari Compost Separator, Bari Power Driven Nut Thresher, Mobile Bari Maize Thresher, Bari Guti Urea Applicator and several other machines were exhibited at the fair.
Later one titled “Agricultural Machinery Talent Search” in Auditorium-1 Seminars are held. The seminar was attended as chief guest by Vice- Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Enamulya. was present as a special guest Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor of AIE Department. Siddiqur Rahman, Chief Scientific Officer of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute, Dr. Md. Noorul Amin, presented the main paper, Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin Sarkar, Professor of AIE Department of Habiprobi presided.
At this time, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Enamulya said to the organizers, you are innovating domestic technology at a much lower cost on the model of foreign technology. As a result, a lot of foreign exchange is saved. These technologies have to be spread among the farmers in the remote areas of the country, although many technologies have already reached the farmer level.
It reduces the production cost of agriculture, saves manpower and takes less time. We are able to purchase agricultural produce at low prices at the consumer level. He also said, “I think the most development has been achieved in the agriculture, fisheries and veterinary sectors compared to other sectors of the country.” That’s why despite being a small country, we are able to provide food for 18 crore people. Finally, he thanked those involved in organizing such seminars and fairs.
