World Handwashing Day 2024 has been celebrated with the theme ‘Clean hands are always important for health protection’. Thursday (October 24), at 10 am
Pirojpur District Administration and Directorate of Public Health Engineering District Office organized a hand washing exhibition at the premises of the District Commissioner’s office. On this occasion, the exhibition on hand washing was inaugurated by Pirojpur District Commissioner Mohammad Ashraful Alam Khan.
Later, a discussion meeting was held in the Shaheed Abdur Razzak-Saif Mizan Memorial Hall at the Deputy Commissioner’s office. Additional District Commissioner (General) Pirojpur, Mohammad Salim Hossain presided over the discussion meeting, District Administrator Mohammad Ashraful Alam Khan spoke as the chief guest.
Jayant Sarkar, Executive Engineer of Directorate of Public Health and Engineering spoke as a special guest, BRAC District Coordinator Md. Hasibul Islam and others said that hand washing is an important issue for us. If you clean your hands daily, many germs will be destroyed. In this we are physically very healthy.
