Zillur Rahman Jewel:

There is a place, there is a house but there is no road, electricity and water connection. It is like a haunted house because it is uninhabitable and uninhabitable. Even after going to the ground, the truth of the incident was found, the victim’s family is living inhumanely in a rented house.

According to the information sent by the local representative, the fate of Lipi Begum, a resident of Ward No. 1 of Galachipa Municipality of Patuakhali. In this regard, the beneficiary Lipi Begum said that her maternal grandfather, Nurul Islam Talukdar Hadis Mia, left 12 percent of the land on JL-49 and 58/59 in Galachipa Mauza on the east side of the food warehouse in Ward No. 1 of the municipality. In 2006, he became the owner of 0.0562 percent of the land from his grandfather’s property, along with 0.05 percent purchased from his grandmother, one uncle, four aunts, and the share of his deceased mother, Jahura Begum. After the purchase of the land, the then municipal mayor late Wahab Khalifa, councilors and local dignitaries distributed the rest of the land jointly, leaving 1.50 feet to Neshar members and 1.50 feet to themselves. As her maternal uncle Alauddin Talukdar had been living in the ancestral house for a long time in the front part, Lipi Begum was given the back part by keeping him in the front part. After that Lipi Begum built a house on her allotted land. Soon after the house was built, his uncle Alauddin Talukdar, in a show of power, blocked the only common road for travel by building a curved wall. Besides, trying to get water and electricity connection was not possible due to their blockage. Even after reaching out to various public representatives and administration, no solution was found. At present, his uncle and cousin, Fishermen League leader Tamal Talukdar, have demanded Tk 2 lakh in cash, instead of the 1.50 feet wide road, the designated land and the area of the said road should be constructed with curved boundary wall, the victim’s family said. They also said that in reality it is impossible to walk through the 1.50 feet walkway. However, according to government rules, joint access should be mandatory in registered partnership land. But due to political influence, Lipi said that he did not get a chance to be freed from the blocked situation for 17 years. Therefore, he drew the attention of the current government and administration to ensure the rights that should be obtained as a citizen of the country from the point of view of humanity.

Alauddin Talukda tried repeatedly to inquire about this, but he did not receive the call.
