Incessant rains in Sherpur and hill flows coming down from upstream India flooded several unions of Sherpur Sadar, Nalitabari, Nakla and Jhenaigati. Almost lakhs of people of these upazilas became waterlogged. There is a shortage of food and clean water in the flood-affected areas. right then
Walton Plaza, the country’s largest electronics company, distributed gifts to the flood victims. On Monday (October 14), Walton Plaza distributed gifts to the flood-affected people in Sadar, Nalitabari, Jhenaigati upazilas of the district on the occasion of Digital Campaign Season-21. Among the gifts were rice, pulses, oil and other food items. Divisional Credit Manager of Mymensingh Division Manowar Hossain, Regional Sales Manager of Jamalpur Area Farooq Ahmed, Regional Credit Manager Rasheduzzaman Russell along with Managers of Walton Plaza of Jamalpur Area were present during the distribution of gifts.
