After 72 days of burial, the body of Shaheed Vishal, who died in the anti-discrimination movement, was exhumed from the family cemetery in Ratanpur of Dharanji Union of Panchbibi Upazila of Joypurhat.
The administration exhumed his body on the orders of the court for the investigation of the case.

Deceased Najibul Sarkar Vishal (17) son of Mojidul Sarkar of Ratanpur village of upazila. He was a class XI student of PanchBB Business Management Institute.

On August 4, he was shot dead during the anti-discrimination student movement at Panchu intersection in Joypurhat. The family then buried Vishal’s body without an autopsy. Majidul Sarkar, the father of Vishal, who was killed in this incident, filed a murder case in the Joypurhat Administrative Court as the plaintiff. In this, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, 128 famous and unknown 200 to 300 people including former members of Parliament from Joypurhat-1 and 2 constituencies were accused.

Deputy Commissioner Office Executive Magistrate Ujjal Bain, District Civil Surgeon Office representative Dr. Shah Alam Shovan, Jaipurhat Sadar Police Station Investigation OC Mizanur Rahman, Case Investigating Officer and District Intelligence Branch SI Jahangir Alam, PanchBB Police Station SI Masum, local UP members were present. Shafiqul Islam and others.

Executive Magistrate Ujjal Bain said, “We have come to exhume the body to conduct legal proceedings as per the order of the court and carry out a report on the condition of the body.” What actually happened that day will be conducted in the light of the autopsy report.
