In Vijayanagar of Brahmanbaria, students studying in 5th to 9th class and 10 to 14 years old out of school girls will be given HPV vaccination to prevent cervical cancer. Vaccination program will run in total 240 sub centers of the upazila. Also this vaccination will be provided in various educational institutions.

This information was informed in the upazila coordination meeting organized on the occasion of HPV vaccination campaign-2024 at the Upazila Parishad conference room on Thursday, October 17 at 12 noon.

Under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Saiful Islam and conducted by Upazila Family Planning Officer Dr. Machum, various topics were discussed on vaccination registration, vaccination strategy.

Bijaynagar Upazila Press Club President SM Kamrul Hasan Shanto, Dr. Mustafizur Rahman, Dr. Hasibul Haque, Dr. Ali Newaz, Health Assistant Association President Alal Uddin, Assistant Secondary Education Officer Al Mamun, Assistant Education Officer Md. Manik Bhuinya, Jamaat Islam were also present. Amir of Bangladesh Maulana Abu Saeed along with representatives of various departments and various individuals.
