Kasba United Football Club has won the Grand Final of Setu Enterprise Prize Money Football Tournament – 2024 organized by Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila Football Association.
On October 11 (Friday) at 4 pm, the final match was held at Danbir Loknath Roy Chowdhury ground in the city. Engineer Khaled Hossain Mahbub Shyamal, Economic Affairs Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) was present as the Chief Guest and Inaugural under the chairmanship of the owner of Final Game Setu Enterprise, Syed Taimur. Former president of Brahmanbaria district BNP, former mayor Hafizur Rahman Molla Kochi, former general secretary of Brahmanbaria district BNP were present as special guests. Zahirul Haque Khokon, former Joint General Secretary of Brahmanbaria District BNP Ed. Shafiqul Islam, ABM Mominul Haque, convener of Brahmanbaria Municipal College Ad Hoc Committee, Zahirul Islam Liton, convener of Sadar Upazila BNP and other invited guests and leaders of various levels of district BNP organs and affiliated organizations. The Setu Enterprise Prize Money Football Tournament 2024 with 8 teams has been taking place since July 13 and accordingly the grand final match was held today with the participation of 13 teams. Suhilpur Football XI and Kasba United Football Club face each other in the final match. In the final match Kasba United Football Club defeated Suhilpur Football XI (2-0). has won In addition to the trophy, the winning team was given a prize money of 2500 (twenty five thousand) taka and the runner up team was given a prize money of 1500 (fifteen thousand) taka.
In the game, Kasba United Football XI player Shafayat was given the golden boot as the man of the final and Ali Azam was given the special award as the best spectator. Md. played the role of referee in the final game. Rakibul Islam, Saddam Hussain and Imran Ahmed.
Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila Football Association President Syed Taufiq, General Secretary Md Monir Hossain and Joint General Treasurer Moshiur Rahman Mushu were in overall management of the tournament.
