Terrorists hacked to death a person named Sushil Sarkar (48) in Katakhali area of ​​Golanda upazila of Rajbari. Police said he is a member of an extremist group. The incident took place on Sunday (September 22) around 6:30 pm in Katakhali area.
The deceased Sushil Sarkar is the son of deceased Monindra Nath Sarkar of Haulikeutil area of ​​the upazila. He is said to have three weapons and two murder cases against him.
The younger brother of the victim, Sunil Sarkar, said that while I was leaving Jamtala, everyone told me that my brother was being beaten. I rushed to the spot and found Katakhali lying near Imdadul’s tea shop in More and immediately picked him up in a rickshaw and brought him to the hospital. When he was brought here, the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Goaland Ghat police station Md. Rakibul Islam said, I rushed there immediately after hearing about the murder on the phone. From there I came to the hospital and found him dead. As far as I heard he was a member of an extremist group and we believe that he may have been killed in an internal dispute within the group. He has stab wounds on his throat and bullet marks on his lower abdomen. The process of sending the body to Rajbari for autopsy is underway. The actual cause of the murder will be known after the post-mortem report. It is not known who killed them, but the investigation is ongoing.
