The committee for the year 2024-26 has been formed by consensus in the general meeting of Bijaynagar Upazila Press Club.
In a press release on Sunday, September 22, daily Yugantar’s Bijaynagar correspondent SM Kamrul Hasan Shanto was re-chaired and Daily Tribunal’s Bijaynagar correspondent Mohammad Salim Chowdhury was announced as the new executive committee with 11 members.
Other members of the executive committee are – Vice-President Daily Bangladesh Post Upazila Representative Mustafa Kamal Khan Sohail, Joint General Secretary Daily Swadhin Sanbad Bureau Chief Hira Ahmed Zakir, Office Editor Daily Amar Sanbad’s Bijaynagar correspondent Shahnewaz Shah, Treasurer Daily Janata’s Bijaynagar correspondent Kefayetul Bhuiyan, Publicity and Publications Editor Daily Muslim Times Bijaynagar Correspondent Md. Mohiuddin Rubel, Education and Library Affairs Editor Dainik Chitra Bijaynagar Correspondent Palash Kumar Das, Information and Technology Affairs Editor Daily Bikal Barta Upazila Correspondent SM Golam Kibria, Working Member Daily Khola Kagaz Its Vijaynagar correspondent Halima Chowdhury and Daily Pratidin paper’s Bijaynagar correspondent Md Jahangir Alam.
The general members are, Muhammad Muhsin Ali, Bijaynagar correspondent of Daily Time Paper, Muhammad Habib, Vijaynagar correspondent of Daily Dhaka Daily, Sultan Mahmud Sarkar, Upazila correspondent of Daily Sabari, Tajul Islam Apon, Kamrul Alam Sohail, Bijaynagar correspondent of Daily Presents Times, Daily Rupali Bangladesh. District Correspondent Baijidul Islam Babul, Daily Adhikaran’s Bijaynagar correspondent Shamim Miah, Daily Bangladesh Samachar’s Bijaynagar Correspondent Md. Amin Miah.
The new leaders of Bijayanagar Upazila Press Club said that they will try to play a role in the formation of the newly formed upazila besides highlighting the overall issues of the upazila by doing journalism with professionalism.
