Kamala Harris, the candidate for the Democratic Party in the upcoming US presidential election, called for an end to the war in Gaza. He even commented that after the end of the war, Israel’s occupation of the occupied Palestinian valley should not be carried out again.
Kamala said these things in a discussion with the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) in Philadelphia, USA on Tuesday (September 17) local time.
In the discussion, Kamla also mentioned the two-state solution to resolve the crisis between Israel and the Palestinians. He said that stability should be restored in the Middle East in such a way that Iran does not get any chance to influence there.
That same day, three journalists from NAB, an organization of African-American journalists, students and media professionals, questioned Kamala about the Gaza war. In response, the US vice president said, “We know very well that an agreement to stop fighting is in the best interest of everyone in the region.”
On October 7 last year, 1,200 people were killed in Israel by the Palestinian independence organization Hamas.
