Amtali upazila freedom fighters have condemned this sensational issue as a child freedom fighter in Amtali, Barguna.

It has been alleged that he embezzled lakhs of rupees from the government treasury for 15 years as a freedom fighter through fraud. Tofajzel is the son of Aynuddin Kazi of Kalibari village of Gulishakhali union of Amtali upazila of Barguna.
It is known that Tofajzel passed the SSC examination from Chunakhali Secondary School in 1978. According to this certificate his birth date is 2 April 1962. Accordingly, he was 8 years 11 months 25 days at the time of independence war. He was a primary school student then.
It has been alleged that Tofajzel was gazetted in the list of freedom fighters through his brother-in-law former Amtali freedom fighter commander AKM Samsuddin Shanu. Its Gazette No-470. In this case, he concealed the SSC passing certificate and took the refuge of fraud by showing the 8th class pass. He has been collecting freedom fighter allowance since 2009.
Meanwhile Tofajzel joined Bangladesh Army with SSC certificate. He retired from that job in 2005. He is also collecting army pension.
According to the investigation, Tofajzel passed the third category in the SSC examination. His SSC Examination Roll No-113, Registration No-23435, Academic year was 1976-77.
When asked about the complaint, Tofajzel Hossain told The National English Paper Present Times, “I have not passed the SSC and I have not served in the army either.” I became a freedom fighter with 8th standard passing certificate. However, when asked how he was collecting his army retirement allowance, he could not give any answer.
In this regard, former freedom fighter commander AKM Samsuddin Shanu said, Tofajzel is my sister-in-law. Those who have scrutinized can tell how he became a freedom fighter? But he admits that his sister-in-law has retired from the army.
Local brave freedom fighter ATM Rafiqul Islam said that action should be taken against Tofajzel subject to investigation.
Amtali Upazila Nirbahi Officer Muhammad Ashraful Alam said, I have come to know the matter. Necessary action will be taken after investigation.
