There is no chance of repeating these in the new Bangladesh after the July uprising. As a result, the nation needs a new manifesto of planning to build a planned, non-discriminatory, prosperous and developed Bangladesh. Yasir Mohammad Amin, a student of Jahangirnagar University, announced the new manifesto of the plan for public welfare, communal interest and anti-discrimination, environment-friendly cities and settlements on behalf of the students’ society for Bangladesh planned under the supervision of Miraj Biswas in the central Shaheed Minar premises today, Thursday, September 12. In the new manifesto of the plan, the students’ society demanded to prepare a national spatial plan for the entire country as well as enact the Urban and Regional Planning Act to ensure the planned development of the entire country. Besides demanding the cancellation of Dhaka’s Detailed Area Plan (DAP), he demanded the interim government to take necessary measures through effective investigation into the business and group interests of the stakeholders behind the unplanned development.
