On the occasion of the 4553rd auspicious Janmashtami festival of Lord Krishna, the Mahavatar of Sanatan Dharma, Narayan Chandra De Kaviraj Bari Radha Gobind Mandir has organized various programs including a colorful procession and discussion meeting to wish the nation and the nation well.
On Monday (August 26) at 10:00 a.m. organized by Bangladesh Puja Udjakar Parishad and Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikya Parishad upazila branch, a Mars procession started from Narayan Chandra De Kaviraj Bari Radha Gobind Mandir premises on Jail Khana Road and ended at the same place after circling the main main road of the city.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Farhana Yasmin inaugurated the colorful procession.

Ataur Rahman, President of Rajapur Upazila Branch of Hindu Buddhist, Christian Oikya Parishad Joy Ram Tewari, General Secretary Nityananda Saha, Narayan Chandra De Kabiraj Bari Radha Gobind Mandir Committee President Gaurang Lal Saha, Vice President of Rajapur Puja Udjakar Parishad Ratan Debnath, General Secretary Gopal Karmakar, Rajapur Narayan Chandra De Durga Mandir and Shashman Kali Mandir Committee President Himanshu Shekhar Das, Vice President Ruhidash Biswas, General Secretary Mithun Chakraborty, Rajapur Thana Kali Mandir President Tarapad Kha, General Secretary Dulal Tewari etc.
Earlier, religious discussions were followed by special prayers for those killed in the anti-discrimination student movement and those affected by the ongoing floods.
Apart from this, various arrangements including puja, Bhograg and kirtan, Anjali offering, Prasad distribution, prayers, discussion meetings have been organized in different temples of the upazila to observe the day.
