Pakistan’s Rawalpindi became a witness of history. Bangladesh created the history of first victory in Test cricket against Pakistan at the ground of Punjab province. It would be wrong to say only victory. In this match, the Tigers left Pakistan completely devastated on their own soil. Chasing just 30 runs to win, the massive 10-wicket victory was Bangladesh’s first in Tests against Pakistan.

Before this, Bangladesh did not win even though Pakistan played 13 Test matches since 2001. Finally, today Sunday, Bangladesh’s 24-year wait is over.

Bangladesh also made a great record in this match. Bangladesh bowled out Pakistan for just 146 runs in the second innings. This is Pakistan’s lowest score in a Test against the Tigers. Earlier in 2003, Pakistan were bowled out for 175 runs by the Tigers in Multan.

Chasing the target of 30 runs, the two Tiger openers Zakir Hasan and Sadman Islam played comfortably. Bangladesh won thanks to Sadman’s 9 and Zakir’s 15 runs.

Pakistan started the fifth day’s play with 23 runs for 1 wicket on Sunday. Bangladesh started the day by taking wickets. Hasan Mahmud took the wicket of Pakistan captain Shan Masood in the second over of the day. He was caught by wicketkeeper Liton Das by the Tiger pacer.

However, the umpire shook his head and gave a negative decision on the first application. But the reviews speak for Bangladesh. The review shows that Hasan Mahmood’s bouncy ball touched Shan Masood’s bat slightly. Shan Masood returned with 14 runs off 37 balls.

Bangladesh missed another wicket after that. Liton Das dropped a simple catch of Babar Azam off Shariful Islam in the over after Masud returned.

Pacer Nahid Rana uprooted Babar’s leg stump in the third ball of the 25th over. Babar returns for 22 runs. Shakib Al Hasan struck in the next over. Saud Shakil wanted Shakib to come forward and play the last ball of the 26th over. But Shakil, who scored 141 runs in the previous innings, missed the ball. Liton Das did not make any mistake after receiving the ball. He quickly stasped. Before opening the account of the run, Shakeel walked on the way to the dressing room.

Abdullah Shafiq bowled Shakib with the last ball of the 33rd over. The Pakistan opener (37 runs) was caught by Sadman Islam at mid-off without being able to make a good connection between the bat and the ball. This is Shakib’s second victim in this innings.

In the next over, new batsman Salman Ali Agha (0) was fooled by Mehdi Hasan Miraj. He was caught by Sadman at first slip while trying to stop Miraj. Pakistan lost 6 wickets for 105 runs. Then the hosts went into the mid-day break with 118 runs.

Mehdi Hasan Miraj took the wicket of Shaheen Shah Afridi (2 off 16 balls) after coming off the break. After that, Naseem Shah (3 off 22 balls) was made his third victim by Shakib Al Hasan.

Then Mohammad Rizwan stood as a thorn in front of Bangladesh. He made a partnership of 24 runs with Khurram Shehzad. In the meantime, Fifty also laughed. However, Miraj did not allow Rizwan to go far after fifty. Pakistan’s right-hander, who scored 51 runs off 80 balls, bowled the Tiger spinner.

Miraj also took Pakistan’s last wicket. He did not allow Muhammad Ali to open the account of runs.

Earlier, Pakistan announced the innings by scoring 448 runs for 6 wickets in the first innings. In response, Bangladesh scored a mountain of 565 runs and got all out. The Tigers lead by 117 runs.
