Three hill district councils will be reconstituted with parties and independents – Supradeep Chakma

Chittagong Hill Tracts Adviser Supradeep Chakma said that Chittagong Hill Tracts like the rest of the country will be brought back to a discrimination-free environment. He said, for this, the Chittagong Hill Tracts will be included in the three hill district councils with capable persons who are party-neutral and dedicated to the development of the area.
Adviser Supradeep Chakma said these things in an exchange meeting with Rangamati administration, civil society, journalists and students in the meeting room of Rangamati District Commissioner’s office today.
Adviser Supradeep Chakma also said, avoiding what happened in Chittagong Hill Tracts in the past, development of people’s livelihood, irregularities-corruption and opacity will be developed based on everyone’s opinions. We want to build good governance. Adviser Supradeep Chakma, emphasizing on the development of livelihood development in the three hill districts, said that we will do all the work together to improve the living standards of the people of the hill areas. Adviser Supradeep Chakma said, we are all together, we will stay together. We want to play an appropriate role in maintaining peace and order in the area. We will work together with people of all religions as brothers and sisters for the development of the country.
Adviser Supradeep Chakma also said that the current interim government is working by maintaining neutrality in every field. He said that 2 student representatives associated with the anti-discrimination student movement will be appointed in each Zilla Parishad of Chittagong Hill Tracts. Adviser Supradeep Chakma expressed his gratitude on behalf of the interim government for this great initiative of everyone, regardless of party affiliation, to take a stand with the people affected and endangered by the recent terrible floods in the country.
Under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner of Rangamati Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Kangkan Chakma, Additional Deputy Commissioner Saiful Islam, former president of Rangamati Press Club Sunil Kanti Dey, former member of Bangladesh Human Rights Organization Nirupa Dewan, Banchita Chakma were present among others.
